Refer a Friend at Live777: The Referral Bonus, Read Before You Share

A referral bonus pays you for bringing a new player to a casino. Of all promotions it is the one that reaches beyond your own account — the conditions apply to another person, and so do the risks. This page explains how invite-a-friend offers are usually structured, what each side has to do before anything is credited, how the reward is normally locked, and why, for readers in Cambodia, the question of whom you invite is a legal one before it is a bonus one. Whether Live777 runs a referral offer at a given moment, and on what terms, is shown in its promotions area; nothing below describes a current Live777 campaign.

How referral offers are usually built

The usual mechanism is a personal link or code tied to the referring account. The new player registers through it, and the casino records the connection. Nothing is paid at that point: registration alone almost never qualifies. The new account has to complete a qualifying action — typically a first deposit above a minimum and an amount of real-money play — and pass verification. Only then is the reward credited, often to both accounts, and usually as bonus money with its own wagering.

Who has to do what before anyone is paid

Worked example. The friend deposits US$20 (about 82,000 riel) and stakes US$100 (about 410,000 riel) within 14 days. The referrer then receives a US$10 bonus (about 41,000 riel) with a requirement of 10 times the bonus, so US$100 of stakes on contributing games is needed before the US$10 can be withdrawn. If the friend never deposits, or fails verification, nobody receives anything.

Illustrative example, not a Live777 condition.

Notice how much of the value depends on someone else's betting. A referral reward turns a friend's play into your bonus, which is precisely why it deserves more thought than a reload.

The one-account rule, applied to households

Referral terms are where duplicate-account checks are strictest. Inviting yourself with a second email, a relative's name or a second phone is the classic case of bonus abuse and leads to confiscation on both accounts. Many terms go further and treat players who share an address, a device, a Wi-Fi network or a payment method as connected, even when they are different people. If you live with the person you want to invite, read that clause first — two genuine accounts can still be flagged.

Why we do not encourage sharing invite links in Cambodia

Under the Law on the Management of Commercial Gambling, Cambodian nationals are not allowed to gamble — only state lotteries are excepted — and foreign players are admitted to Cambodian casinos, not Khmer citizens. There is no Cambodian licence for online casinos, no new online licences have been issued since the 2019 directive, and in September 2026 the government announced that online operations at all casinos would be suspended from early October. Sending a referral link to a Cambodian friend means inviting them to something the law does not permit them to do. Our guidance is simple: do not use referral offers to recruit people, and never share links with anyone under 18. This site explains promotions; it does not say playing is legal for anyone.

Terms worth checking in any referral offer

Is a referral bonus worth it?

As a sum of money, rarely. The reward is usually small, it depends on another person's deposit and play, and it comes with its own wagering. As a relationship cost, it can be large: a recommendation that ends in a friend's losses is not repaid by a US$10 bonus. If you enjoy a casino, telling a friend what you think of it does not need a tracked link. If you are tempted to invite people mainly for the reward, that is a good moment to look at how much you are playing — our responsible gambling guide lists places to talk to, including Gambling Therapy, a free online service.

Referral bonus and invite-a-friend offers: the short version

An invite friend bonus is paid only after the new player deposits, plays and passes checks, and it usually arrives as bonus money with wagering attached. Self-referrals and connected accounts are cancelled, often on both sides. Read the qualifying conditions as carefully as you would read your own — they are conditions on someone else's money.

FAQ

Does my friend have to deposit for the referral to count?
In nearly every referral offer, yes. Registration alone rarely qualifies; a first deposit, a minimum amount of play and completed verification are the usual triggers.
Can I refer someone who lives with me?
Possibly, but many terms treat shared addresses, devices, networks or payment methods as connected accounts and cancel the reward. Read that clause before inviting anyone in your household.
Is the referral reward paid in cash?
Usually it is bonus money with its own playthrough and stake cap. The promotion terms state the form, the multiple and any limit on how many referrals count.
Can I invite friends who live in Cambodia?
We advise against it. Cambodian law does not allow Cambodian nationals to gamble except in state lotteries, and online casino operations in the country were announced as suspended from October 2026. This is information, not legal advice.
