Wagering Requirements at Live777, Worked Through Step by Step
A bonus is only as generous as the wagering requirement bolted to it. The headline percentage tells you how much extra balance appears; the playthrough tells you how much you have to bet before any of it can leave the account. This page walks through that arithmetic in the order you will meet it — what the multiple is applied to, how each game feeds the counter, the cap on stake size, the clock, and what happens to winnings along the way. The figures in the boxes are ours, chosen to make the maths visible; the real numbers for any Live777 offer are the ones printed on its promotion page on the day you claim.

Wagering, playthrough, rollover and turnover requirement all describe the same lock: a total amount of stakes you must place before bonus money turns into withdrawable cash. The multiple is the part everyone reads. The base is the part people skip, and it matters just as much. Some offers apply the multiple to the bonus alone; others apply it to the bonus plus the deposit that triggered it. The wording to look for is "bonus amount" versus "deposit and bonus" — a single phrase that can double the job.
Worked example. You deposit US$50 (about 205,000 riel) and receive a US$50 match. With a requirement of 30 times the bonus, the target is US$1,500 in stakes (about 6,150,000 riel). If the same 30 times applies to deposit plus bonus, the target becomes US$3,000 (about 12,300,000 riel) — twice the betting for the same headline offer.

Step 2: check how each game feeds the counter
Game contribution — sometimes called weighting — decides how much of each stake is counted toward the target. A game that contributes in full moves the counter by the whole bet; a game weighted at a fraction moves it by that fraction; an excluded game does not move it at all, and in some terms playing it with bonus funds is itself a breach. The table below shows a typical shape of such a list, not Live777's list.
| Game type | Contribution in this example | A US$1 stake counts as |
|---|---|---|
| Most video slots | 100% | US$1.00 |
| Software table games (RNG blackjack, roulette) | 10% | US$0.10 |
| Live dealer tables | 10% | US$0.10 |
| Listed high-return or jackpot slots | 0% (excluded) | nothing |

Step 3: understand why table stakes move the counter so slowly
Players who prefer cards or a roulette wheel are often surprised by how long a bonus takes to clear. The reason is the weighting. Table games carry a small house edge, so operators count only part of each bet; otherwise a bonus could be cleared at almost no expected cost. The effect on your session is large.
Worked example. The target from Step 1 is US$1,500. On slots weighted at 100% you need US$1,500 of spins. On a live table weighted at 10% the same target needs US$15,000 of hands (about 61,500,000 riel) — ten times the betting, ten times the exposure to the house edge.

If live tables are what you actually enjoy, the honest conclusion is often to skip the deposit bonus and play with cash only, keeping your winnings free of any lock.
Step 4: respect the max bet while the bonus is active
Almost every bonus carries a maximum stake per spin, per hand or per round while bonus funds are in play. It exists to stop players from swinging huge bets at a lightly wagered balance. A single stake above the cap — even one, even by accident on a slot that remembered your last bet size — can give the operator grounds to remove the bonus and everything won with it. Some terms express the cap as a fixed amount, others as a percentage of the bonus.
Worked example. The cap is US$5 per spin or hand (about 20,500 riel). A US$6 spin (about 24,600 riel) breaches it, however small the difference. Clearing US$1,500 at US$1 per spin takes 1,500 spins; at US$5 it takes 300 — but a larger stake also means larger swings in the balance.

Step 5: put the time limit next to the target
The requirement comes with a deadline, usually counted in days from the moment the bonus is credited. When the clock runs out, unfinished bonus balance and the winnings still locked behind it are removed. Divide the target by the number of days you realistically intend to play: if the result is more betting per evening than you would normally do, the offer does not fit you, whatever the banner says.
Step 6: know what happens to winnings on the way
Winnings made while a bonus is active usually stay inside the locked balance until the playthrough is complete. Asking for a withdrawal before that point commonly cancels the bonus, and depending on the terms, the winnings it produced. Some offers also set a maximum cashout on bonus-derived winnings — read that line together with the wagering line, because a large win can be trimmed at the exit.
Step 7: check whether your own money or the bonus is played first
Terms differ on the order in which balances are used. In some setups your deposited money is staked first and the bonus only starts working once it is gone — in that case you can often withdraw real-money winnings before touching the bonus, at the price of giving the bonus up. In others the two are merged into one locked balance from the first bet. The terms of the promotion state which model applies; if they do not, ask support in writing before you deposit and keep the reply.
Tracking the counter yourself
- At claim time, write down the bonus amount, the multiple, the base and the expiry date.
- Work out the stake target in dollars or riel before the first bet.
- Pick games from the full-contribution list and keep every stake under the cap.
- Compare your own sum with the progress figure the account shows, if it shows one.
- Withdraw only after the target is reached and the bonus status has changed.
Mistakes that quietly cancel a bonus
- Requesting a withdrawal while wagering is still open.
- One stake above the maximum bet, often from a slot that kept a higher bet size.
- Clearing the requirement on an excluded or restricted game.
- Letting the expiry date pass with part of the target unfinished.
- Claiming a second offer that is not allowed to run alongside the first.
A note on the law for readers in Cambodia
Arithmetic is not the only thing to check. Cambodia's Law on the Management of Commercial Gambling does not allow Cambodian nationals to gamble, state lotteries aside, and no Cambodian licence for online casinos has been issued since the 2019 directive; in September 2026 the government also announced a suspension of all online operations at casinos in the country from early October. This site explains how bonus terms work — it does not say that playing is legal for you, and it is not legal advice.

Bonus wagering explained in one minute
Playthrough equals the base multiplied by the multiple, and every eligible stake is counted at its contribution rate until the total is reached. Three numbers decide whether that is realistic: the target, the deadline and the cap on stake size. Write them down before you claim, and decide in advance that you will stop if the balance runs out — chasing a half-finished requirement with fresh deposits is how a bonus becomes the most expensive part of the evening.
